They are a little uncomfortable to get on at first, but once they're on you dont really notice them that much and its a small price to pay for the protection that they offer. Overall satisfied with the product
My 13 year old daughter approves of them. She plays goalkeeper for her soccer teams both indoor on turf and outdoor and these knee guards have worked very well so far.
I like these knee pads for a keeper playing indoor, but not wanting a lot of bulk. For me, the knee pads are a little confusing. They always seem to make ripping noises when I pull them on, and I'm never quite sure exactly where they're supposed to ride on the knee, especially the elastic strap on the back of the knee. Still, I use them to prevent turfburn, or more often when I already have turfburn (because I prefer fewer pads so only wear Storelli 3/4 keeper pants or the knee pads when i have burns or bruises to protect). They do the trick and I like that they're fairly supportive and fairly minimalist. Recommended, even though I'm not positive I'm using them quite right.
I purchased these for my 9-year old daughter who volunteered to be the goalkeeper for her Club soccer team. While she's not a huge fan of them because she says they restrict her movement somewhat, as a parent - I love them! She does admit to the fact that her knees don't hurt as much, she no longer gets turf burn and that the padding helped when she got blasted in the knee. Players that have sensory issues with things like seams may not love these, but the protection they provide, to me, outweighs any small amount of discomfort.
Excellent protection for the knees, I saved myself from a serious injury by preventing more displacement of my knee in a risky move, although it injured me because I broke a meniscus I avoid more serious my injury
Great knee pads, better than the volleyball knee pads that we used to buy. They do run on the small side.
After trying many different styles of knee pads and pants with built in pads, we ordered the BodyShield Knee Guards and they did not disappoint! My daughter plays both indoor and futsal and these knee guards have saved her knees! Keepers can't save games if they can't save themselves!!! She goes down hard and often plays double headers. Before these knee guards, she came home badly bruised. Now, her knees are fully protected- the padding doesn't slide (that was her main problem with pants and other guards... the padding just didn't stay in place when she dove for saves). We love all Storelli GK gear, but the knee guards have truly made a huge impact in keeping her protected & comfortable.
Lo compre de regalo para un arquero Es de muy buena calidad Lo que no me gusto es la caja 📦 que llego estropeada
I wear them religiously, they fit really well and protection is solid. The padding is not stiff, plus they look cool. Note: the material covers part of the thighs too, it's not short like a lot of other knee pads. But I like that, it's more stable, comfortable and the look is better
This is the perfect product-- I've been looking for a sleeve that gave me compression and protection from burns without having any extra padding. This sleeve is tight enough to feel secure without restricting my movement, and it stays put! It doesn't roll up or slip down when I'm playing. Perfect product, I'd definitely recommend.
Fit perfectly and helps stay warm in winter.
Good quality. Smaller than I expect.
great quality perfect for my 12 year old son loved them
These are great, run kind of small (I have big knees). Only problem is these are listed as XL but I received size L.. After doing some research, it looks like these don't even come in XL.
Great for indoor and outdoor
Storelli Sports simply offers the best goalkeeper protection available. These knee guards are no exception. I only wish they were a little smaller but they are doing the job they were made to do. Before purchasing these knee guards, I read the words contributed by critics who had a lot to say about knee guards either 1) encouraging the player to develop bad habits of going down on the knees or 2) just not being tough enough for the sport. Let me be the first to reassure you that if you are looking into purchasing a pair of these knee guards for yourself, that does not make you less of a player! My daughter is one of the fiercest goalkeepers in her age group and one of the toughest on the field. She has taped her broken fingers and continued to play through the pain because she needed to make it through the game. She was kicked in the knee by an overly aggressive player who was taking a dirty shot trying to cause her to go down and release the ball. She didn't release the ball and she did finish the game. But she also walked away from that game with a severe bone bruise to her left knee that took her out of practice and games for a month. And after speaking to her orthopedist, THAT is the reason we decided to give these knee guards a try. So far they have been a blessing. She has been kicked directly in the knee twice since wearing them and no damage has been done. This past weekend she forgot to bring them to a state cup tournament. She went in for a sliding breakaway save and took a kick to the inside of her knee. Her knee is a nice shade of purple and is swollen again. Baseball catchers wear masks, chest protectors and and shin guards because they are smart and know when they need protection. Hockey goalies wear protection. Most other types of guards/goalies were some sort of protection but a soccer goalie wears a pair of gloves. So I say there is nothing at all wrong with wearing a pair of knee guards if you want to protect your knees when playing the game. It would be foolish to expose your weak spot to your opponent and provide them a way to take you out of the game, not weak to put on a set of safety equipment to make sure you stay in play!
