These are shorts. With very very very light padding. I don’t feel like the padding protected me.

I absolutely love these shorts. The waist band is super comfortable and does role down at all. The only problem I found to have is that the material on the inner side of the shorts would really ride up and I would have to try pulling it back down during practice or a game, while still having my gloves on.
